| URJOSHI, the latest lifestyle boutique to open its doors to Kolkatans, will be offering an amazing range of hand-picked items for personal dressing and home decor from various parts of the country, each uniquely different from the other. URJOSHI's aim is to offer under one roof a wide variety of products to suit personal needs and budgets, ranging from designer sarees, men's kurtas, children's playthings to coffee mugs, rugs, candles, salwar suits, pottery, durries, bed covers, cushion covers, jewellery and other hand-crafted items. In fact, it is going to be a 'one stop-shop' for personal dressing, house decor and gift selection.
Besides its exclusive collections, URJOSHI will be offering home delivery services for gift items at a nominal cost, all for the convenience of busy working couples. One has to just pick up the phone, specify the budget and other details and then sit back and relax. The gift will be delivered to one's doorstep, wrapped up in style to be given away. This service will be available to Kolkatans only.
URJOSHI will be offering another unique service of fashion consultancy, with special emphasis on personal dressing, by Anjana Guha Thakurta, the brain behind this project. Since 1989, Anjana has been associated with the world of fashion along with her sister, Ananya Chowdhury of Anjali Jewellers. The sisters has together set up Gunjan, through which they served trendsetting and exclusive styles which were always appreciated. They made a humble start from a garage space on Rashbehari Avenue, from where they experimented with various designs on Dhaniakhali sarees and matching blouses. Later, they expanded and shifted to Gariahat Road near Golpart around 1994. Within this short span, Gunjan had created a niche for itself. But now it has downed its shutters, only to reinvent itself as URJOSHI, meaning that which is powerful. |

Anjana intends to travel widely all over India, not only to hand-pick her items but also to have an all-India representation of clothes, art and atrefacts, etc. at URJOSHI. |
