Since 1989, Anjana has been associated with the world of fashion along with her sister, Ananya Chowdhury of Anjali Jewellers. The sisters has together set up Gunjan, through which they served trendsetting and exclusive styles which were always appreciated. They made a humble start from a garage space on Rashbehari Avenue, from where they experimented with various designs on Dhaniakhali sarees and matching blouses. Later, they expanded and shifted to Gariahat Road near Golpart around 1994. Within this short span, Gunjan had created a niche for itself. But now it has downed its shutters, only to reinvent itself as URJOSHI, meaning that which is powerful.
